ADB (Apple Desktop Bus) Cables

ADB Y Adaptor/Splitter Add to Cart $15.99

The mini din 4 is the ADB port (Apple Desktop Bus). If your looking to use multiple keyboards, mice or trackballs and such, you may want to purchase the ADB Y cable. This cable has one male and two female connectors. The male end connects to the ADB port on the computer, allowing you to connect an additional device other than the keyboard.

If you connect two of these splitters together, you'll have two extra ADB ports.

Yes, the ADB Y Cable gives you that extra port you need. You can attach multiple devices through the ADB port. ADB (Apple Desktop Bus) devices include keyboards, mice, joysticks, trackballs, wheel mice, race car controllers, etc. Some of these devices such as, the Kensington trackball give you an extra ADB port that is built in, allowing for extra input devices to be added. This cable or port looks just like S-Video on a TV or VCR but is not interchangeable.

The USB (Universal System Bus) port has currently replaced the ADB port on the newer Apple and PC computers.

Joysticks are nice for user interaction with games but are not always functional with all programs. Trackballs are nice for all applications including games and especially nice for replacing the mouse when you don't have alot of desktop (tabletop) space. The buttons are also programmable for using shortcuts keys, writing text, etc.

I use the Kensington Turbo Mouse, myself, which is a 4 button trackball and I use one button to close window, one for double-clicking, one for normal click and the other for multiple purposes such as writing text, switching applications, etc.
